1a. What is the best feature your app has that helps your experience when riding the bus?
The ETA feature. It tells you roughly how long it will take to get there, and there are different options to the busses you choose to take at the time.
1b. Follow up: Do you think it is lacking a feature? If so, what?
I hate that you can’t really predict delays. The app also lags and bus show up times can be off.
2. Walk me through your experience when paying for your rides.
I just show them my student ID and I get a pass to ride, I keep it in my wallet so I don’t forget.
3. Walk me through what you do to ensure you make it to every stop successfully.
Honestly, I take the bus mostly for school and have lived around this area for a while so it’s not difficult for me to navigate the city now. But when I first started taking the bus, I would get lost all of the time due to graffiti on the signs or just getting lost in all of the chaos of the city.
4. How do you go about picking which bus route you want?
I usually just pick the one that will get me there the fastest.
5. Do you usually pre plan your routes, or look them up on the spot?
About 20 minutes before I have to leave anywhere, I will look up the bus route in case I need to walk far or there are delays. It’s not like it matters though, it’s always the same thing and I’m always waiting for too long. I’d rather be early than late but its so hot outside its annoying.
